Sol de Mallorca: Great beaches in stunning bays

Calvia is the name of the municipality in which the quiet settlement Sol de Mallorca is located. If you are holidaying here, you have a great selection of beautiful beaches right on your doorstep. In postcard style, a small bay next to the other presents itself and makes her turquoise water sparkle and sparkle in the sun. Quite typical of the Balearic island, the beach here is fine-sanded, bright white and of Caribbean beauty. Swimming tips in walking distance are the small beach of Cala de Vinyes and the so-called three-finger bay of Cala de Portals Vells. Here are the three bays Platja del Rei, Platja de Portals Vells and Platja del Mago – one more beautiful than the other.

Marinas in a maritime flair

Sol de Mallorca is an excellent starting point for visits to the neighboring towns of the municipality of Calvia. Definitely recommendable are the marinas in the area. In addition to a maritime flair, they also offer gastronomic diversity and culinary delights. For example the exclusive Puerto Portals in Portals Nous. With a good dinner, you are among the same and can enjoy the sunset and the view of the up to 700 yachts that anchor here. As a slightly more well-heeled area next to Portals Nous is the village of Ses Illetes, which is located in the immediate vicinity. The landscape is here, as almost throughout Calvia, dominated by the pine trees, which donates shade with its rich dark green on hot days. The Bendinat district is famous for its villas and noble holiday complexes. Not surprising, because in this area shows the Badia de Palma of its sometimes most beautiful side.

Sporty to enjoy the holiday

Athletes’ hearts beat faster in Sol de Mallorca. Tennis courts on the doorstep, swimming, diving clubs and sailing boat rentals, snorkelling and kayaking tours – here an active lifestyle can be maintained. There are several golf courses in the immediate vicinity: Santa Ponca I, II and III, as well as Bendinat, Andratx and Poniente. At the same time, the corner on the southwest coast also has some cultural offerings in store. Popular is the weekly market in Andratx, a trip to the Coves de Mare de Deu – in fact, the sandstone found here was removed to build the cathedral in Palma – and a walk to the highest mountain in the community, the Galatzo. From here you have a great view of the Calvia region. Always in, on the way to the heights of the Tramuntana mountains, travelers can discover a scenic gem: Puigpunyent. This is a grand hotel with excellent cuisine. A visit to this restaurant can be considered a must.

Tourists discover the island of Sol de Mallorca from their quite a bit turbulent side. But you can be sure to always experience something. The wide range of leisure programs offer single travelers and families with children tailor-made offers for every holiday. Welcome to the holiday!
